Collection: 12 Mukhi Rudraksha

Rudrakshas are worshipped. In Devi Bhagwat it is said that Ekmukhi, Panchmukhi, Eleven Mukhi, Fourteen Mukhi and some other Rudrakshas are worshipped. Rudrakshas like Trijuti, Savar, Gaurishankar etc. are also worshipped.

Rudraksha can be worn along with Gemstons. This increases the power of both Genstone and Rudraksha. It is said in the Devi Bhagwat that a person who wears a Rudraksha with pearls, coral, crystals, silver, onyx, gold etc., becomes a form of Shiva.

Gem stones are worn only for karaka planets, whereas Rudrakshas can be worn for both karaka and non karaka planets. Therefore people of all zodiac signs and ascendants can wear this Rudraksha. Still, you can get free advice by contacting our Rudraksh experts and astrologers.

In the above background, modern scholars' opinion that a person who drinks alcohol can also wear Rudraksha, but he should not touch the Rudraksha while drinking alcohol. If he wants, he can take off the Rudraksha while during drink alcohol.

Yes, you can wear Rudraksha. It is said in Shiva Purana that all Brahmacharis, Vanprasthas, Grihasthas and Sannyasis should wear Rudraksha. Rudraksha should always be worn by the people of all the ashramas.
Sarvaashramaanaam Varnaanaam Streeshoodraanaam Shivaagyaya. Dhaarya Sadaiv Rudraksha. (shivapuraan)

No, Rudraksha worn by other person, should not be worn. In this regard, it is said in the Devibhagavat Mahapurana that the Rudraksha worn by another person is not pure and good for himself -
Shuddham Naanyairdhrtam Shivam.
Nevertheless, scholars believe that the Rudraksha worn by the Guru can be worshipped, it should not be worn. One should also not wear Rudraksha worn by the father etc.

There is no instruction anywhere regarding prohibition of Rudraksha while going to the toilet, in the bath or during sex, whereas there is instruction to always wear Rudraksha.
Supte Peete Sarvakaalam Rudraaksham Dhaarayet Narah.
Hence Rudraksha can be worn while going to the toilet, in the bath or during sex. In fact, once a Rudraksha is worn, it becomes an integral part of the body, so it should be worn always. Still, if you want, you can take it off and keep it, there is no fault in it.

In this regard, there is no clear instruction in Puranas etc., but at present, it has become a tradition to take off Rudraksh during the period of birth and death in your family. After the ashaucha (Impure) period, these are worn again.

In this regard, there is no clear instruction in the texts, only it has been said that one should not wear Rudraksha in impure state -
Naashuchiradhaarayedakshan Sada Bhaktyaiv Dhaarayet.
On the basis of this, scholars recommend taking off Rudraksh during funeral procession or attending funeral. On the other hand, some scholars believe that Rudraksh also protects from demonic powers like ghosts, Pretas etc., therefore Rudraksha should be worn even while attending the funeral procession.

Rudraksha provides both Bhog and Moksha. According to Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran, if someone is wearing a Rudraksha at the time of death, then he attains Rudratv and he is not reborn.
Prayaanakaale Rudraaksham Bandhyitvaa Mriyedyadi.
Sa Rudratvmavaapnoti Punarjanm na Vidyate.
If Rudraksha is worn on the neck, arm or wrist at the time of death, what should be done with it? This is an important question. There are three traditions in this regard :
1. Along with the dead body, Rudraksha is also cremated.
2. The cremation is done after taking it out of the dead body and placing it in a pyre.
3. At the time of immersion of the ashes of the deceased in the Ganges, Rudraksha etc. are also floated.

Yes, Rudraksha can be donated. It is said in the Devi Bhagwat that the donation of Rudraksha is of special glory in comparison to all kinds of donations -
Akshayyeshu cha Daneshu Rudrakshastu Vishishyate.

According to Shiva Purana and Devi Bhagwat, Rudraksha can be worn in the following parts of the body -
1. Around the neck, 2. In the arm, 3. In the wrist, 4. In both the ears, 5. On the head, 6. On the forehead , 7. In Yagyopaveet.
It is most effective in the wrist. (Devi Bhagwat 11/6/16-17)

There are no clear instructions in the texts regarding the age of Rudraksha. Therefore, as long as the Rudraksha is not broken, it can be worn.
